HIV/AIDS Training in Rajshahi Long-term Training Stressed on AIDS Prevention Rajshahi, May 28: Long-term
training on HIV/AIDS has been stressed to make the students and youth
people aware of and to Pro-Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU) Prof Dr Mamnunul Keramat stressed it while speaking as Chief Guest in the certificate giving and closing ceremony of the refresher training for resource students on HIV/AIDS issues held in Rajshahi today. Mass communication oriented development organization CCD Bangladesh arranging this function at the seminar room of Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS) in Rajshahi University (RU). Keramat also said, due to the prevailing socio-economic condition, the
students and young people are becoming addicted to drugs in an alarming
rate. They have also involvement in many other risky behaviors, Proctor of Rajshahi University Prof Dr Enamul Hoque addressed the function as special guest while renowned journalist Editor of the Daily Barta and Chairman of CCD Bangladesh S M A Quader was in the chair. Director of CCD Bangladesh G M Mourtoza, Program Coordinator A H M Abdul Hai, Information Management Officer Anisul Ashekeen, Newsroom Editor of Boishakhi Television Mahfuzur Rahman, BASA Organizer Tofael Ahmmad, Shahnaj Akhter Ranu and Lutfun Nahar Koruna, among others, addressed the function. A large number of organizers and members of BASA from Rajshahi University, Rajshahi Govt. College, Rajshahi Govt. Women’s College, Baneswar College, Puthia Degree College and Naohata Degree College actively took part in the training and certificate-giving program. Chief Guest RU Pro-VC Prof Dr Mamnunul Keramat handed over the certificates to the participants at the end of the function. |
